For tutors with lessons back to back, I made this kit to keep next-step detail out of a notebook, a message and memory. It keeps the learner's lesson record and homework together, then writes a recap from the row you just completed.

How do I record one-to-one tutor lessons and send a useful follow-up without rewriting my notes?

Add learners with a short ref
Set up each learner once with a short reference. The workbook uses that ref so names do not cross over between records.
Write one row after each lesson
Record the date, what you covered, the homework you set and the plan for next time. At the next lesson, return to that row and mark whether its homework came back.
Pick the learner next time
The Next lesson tab shows the latest lesson, the one before it and homework that is still open for the learner you choose.
Copy and edit the recap
From that learner's record, the workbook writes labelled recap lines. Read them, add the optional Add to recap note stored on the lesson row when needed and paste the lines into your email.
